Pwll Dwfn, Llethryd Swallet and Tooth Cave

Access to these caves is to be granted to al bona-fide cavers.

Parking and changing arrangements are as for Dan-yr-Ogof. No key is required.

Llethryd Swallet

Llethryd Swallet Cave in Gower is an impressive and historically popular cave that became inaccessible around 2003, due to catastrophic sediment infill in the entrance series. A team from SWCC has been working for 3 years to regain access to the system and in doing so also found another cave nearby (Barns Cave). Access has now been agreed with the landowner, and the details can be found in this file.

The digging team and the landowner pay a total of £120.00 a year to cover the insurance aspects of groups caving in Llethryd and Barns cave. None of this cost is passed on to visiting caving groups and the intent is to maintain free access for the caving community

Tooth Cave

Keys for Tooth Cave are available from SWCC HQ. Arrangements to pick up keys can be made via the Permit Secretary. It is important to note that the cave is an SSSI and not to be entered October to April due to bat hibernation in the entrance series.

When visiting Tooth Cave, please park at the southern (Park Mill) car park only as a local landowner has been confrontational on the northern side; please avoid the northern area completely. We also need to remind all visitors of serious rapid flooding and bad air near the end of the cave.
