OFD Columns

The Columns are generally kept locked for conservation reasons. Access is permitted on New Year's Day, and on the Sunday immediately preceding each Bank Holiday Monday (i.e. Easter Sunday and the Sundays before the Early May, Spring and Summer bank holidays).

A warden will open the gates and allow you to visit the columns; please make contact with the warden before 10am at SWCC HQ (particularly if you want to use the Columns pitch).

You are responsible for making your own way to the Columns; the wardens generally remain at the Columns and are not required to lead parties in or out of the cave.
