Grouting
Some floor tile grouting was achieved, despite Allan and Brian doing other jobs in Ladies' Showers and getting in the way.  Too many people all trying to do something in a restricted area had been a problem all week.

The last of the windows
Several years ago, a project was started to replace just about all of the Club's windows with double glazed units.  From the first one in the Dining Room, to the last one in the workshop has taken 7 years.  A similar programme to replace the outside doors is under way but will run for a few years yet.

Ladies' Showers
It became clear that it would not be possible to complete the Ladies' Showers, particularly as some of the parts required were missing.  All of the tiles had been applied, all the walls grouted, the pipework plumbed in and some of the floor grouted.

The main cubicle structure was installed and one cubicle completed.  The weekend of July 5th./6th. was set as the one for finishing off the project.

Extractor Hood
The Club acquired a kitchen extractor hood free of charge and this was fitted in the kitchen to try and reduce the quantity of condensation that occurs when people are cooking.

Not a bunk
Conscious of the fact that the AGM had vetoed new bunks in rear No.9, it transpired that Dave and Phil had circumvented this and avoided an OfWoW prosecution by making an Experimental Sleeping Apparatus instead.  The item was a zero on-cost pilot run and test design for possible future projects where Club Class bunking may be required for members' rooms.  It was later tested by Messrs. Buxton and Radcliffe (independently) who both pronounced it satisfactory.  The old metal bed frame has been stored in order to maintain compliance.

Washdown Area
The washdown area base and posts were completed. together with the electrical supply for lighting and water supply for the taps and hoses.  The weekend of July 5th./6th. was set as the one for stage one completion of the project.
